Commemorating Women's Equality Day
On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment, granting white women the right to vote was signed. Let us commemorate this day while also realizing that the fight for gender representation and equity is far from over. The work that still needs to be done was most evident throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as women took on increasing roles and responsibilities. Female employment fell faster than that of male counterparts due to the growing demands on women. While there has been rebound, there is still the threat of a decade's worth of progress in gender equity being lost.
Mirroring the 100 years it took to pass the 19th amendment, we have to continue the fight to secure and expand equal rights today and in the future. But, we women cannot do it alone. TONE Networks has compiled this playlist of expert-led videos to help us celebrate Women's Equality Day. Our hope is that it inspires us all to be allies and changemakers in our own lives.
