Invest in Your Financial Future
April is Financial Literacy Month and while you’ve probably set some time aside to work on your taxes (April 18th!) you should also take the opportunity to assess your current and future personal finances.
To get started, here are some questions you can ask yourself:
-
What are my current and future financial goals?
-
Do my current spending and savings levels allow me to meet these goals?
-
How much debt do I feel comfortable with? Am I comfortable with my current interest rates?
-
Can I cover the expenses of an unforeseen emergency?
-
Am I hitting comfortable benchmarks for retirement savings?
Understanding the basic concepts of personal finance can set you up to make better decisions with your money. And, don’t be afraid to ask for help - financial planners can be a great resource!
